New picture gallery

The 2012 Courthouse Centennial Committee would like to invite you to the unveiling of the picture gallery on the Second Floor of the Courthouse on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. This event will depict Butte's historical journey of Butte's development over the past 100 years.  Twenty-two pictures will be displayed.

Law Library Renovations complete

The third-floor Law Library in the Court House has had a major renovation. New half-arches sport remarkable personages from Butte's history, from Frank Little to Jeanette Rankin. Here's a link to the newspaper report on the work.

Chinese New Year blessing

The Butte-Silver Bow Courthouse was the starting point for the annual Mai Wah Chinese New Year Parade on February 5, 2011, the year of the Rabbit. In addition the Court House received a Dragon Dance and special blessing from the Mai Wah dragon.
